Astra is a 3.5 year old male lurcher. He is very kind natured and walks really well on the lead but as expected due to the breed has a very high prey drive. Astra is a lovely dog!

About my history

Astra was found as a stray and brought to us. He was then rehomed for 9 months but unfortunately was too lively out on walks for his owner. He has a wonderful temperament and is a really kind hearted dog. Astra walks well on the lead but can pull if he sees something he wants to chase like a bird, rabbit, cat or squirrel.

Astra walks well with the other dogs here, but reportedly became reactive to them on walks when rehomed. We think this was likely due to frustration and over-excitement, so regular walking buddies would benefit him once he goes to his new home. Astra is a soppy boy who loves his cuddles and is great with children. He just wants a loving home, lap and garden to relax and run around in.

Although Astra is good with other dogs on walks, he can be overbearing when playing with them in a secure field, so we would recommend him to be the only dog in the home. We would consider a home with a resident dog if they were of a similar size and temperament, following the right introductions.
