A Sanctuary for Neglected, Unwanted, Abandoned Animals
Your generosity could change the future for many unwanted and abandoned pets. There are lots of ways you can help us – by giving us your time, money, sponsorship or leaving a legacy.
Our
Story & Mission
The animal rescue charity was founded in 1991 by mother and daughter Jan and Fiona Rose, who initially took in strays from the next door police station.
News travelled fast that the duo would take in unwanted pets or strays and it wasn’t long before waifs and strays were being left on their doorstep.

Vacancies
We have a selection of vacancies for both both volunteer and paid work. Why not apply today
Our
Animal Facilities
Our Kennels & Animal accomodations are all heated and insulated and we have an amazing team, turning up in all weathers to give our animals everything they need from their daily walkies to cuddles and fuss.
We have two large grassy exercise paddocks which are secured which enables an off lead run around (zoomie), enrichment and socialisation with fellow friends.

Thinking of
Adopting a pet?
We follow a six step process, when evaulating one of our residents for adoption. The process starts with you contacting us via telephone or email, regarding one of our animals.
Your enquiry will be reviewed and if we think that you will be a good home then we will get in touch with you and invite you to our rescue for a meet and greet. If you decide to go ahead with adoption there are a few forms to be filled in which will be reviewed by our homing commitee. If we feel you are a good match, one of our friendly team will then visit your home.Â
Thinking of
Giving up a pet?
A member of our animal welfare team will ask you some questions and gather more information about you and your pet. We may ask for photos of any veterinary records.
We’ll discuss whether we can provide your pet with a new home and if we currently have space. We may be able to provide support to keep your pet in your home to see if the situation improves.
