Utter Mindless Vandalism

Mindless Vandals Destroy Property

ARC supporters have been left ‘heartbroken’ after vandals attacked its buildings.

Thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused to the Animal Rescue Charity’s (ARC) relocation site at Farnham Road in Bishop’s Stortford.

Four youths were spotted by a member of staff on a routine security check at 1.45pm on Sunday (February 26) and ran off in the direction of Farnham.

The youths had managed to break through two locks to gain entry and then ‘proceeded to smash everything in sight’, including windows and light fittings. Over the years it has happened several times and each time we increase security.

We appealing to the public for any information they might have which could assist the police with their investigation. The police are looking into the incident and are appealling for anyone who saw four males aged in their teens in the area to get in contact.

We would also like to hear from volunteers with skills who would be willing to give some of their time to carry out essential repairs. We have already received some pledges of assitance from councillors.

To contact the charity, phone (01279) 501547 or to contact the police with information, use the non-emergency number 101.
