The Animal Rescue Charity needs your support to help animals like ‘Casper’Dog stealing has reached crisis-point and as a result, many pets are never seen again by their owners. Despite this, a percentage of these unfortunate dogs will either escape or be dumped by the perpetrators and finish up in stray dog “pounds” throughout England.
Casper, (as depicted here ) is a lucky dog. He is lucky because he was brought into our sanctuary by our local Animal Warden in the knowledge that we would provide the stable and caring environment that he so desperately needs.
There is an urgent need to do more for these dogs and our Charity is planning to provide an emergency rescue service for those dogs with only a few vital days before being destroyed. In the short term, additional funding is required to provide isolation units and pay for additional veterinary care. In the long term we will be seeking to finance an animal ambulance, quarantine kennels, and ancillary nursing / veterinary facilities.
To date, the SAD appeal has provided funding for an animal ambulance and extra quarantine kennels. Of course, we need constant support enabling us to support these often malnourished and sick animals.
The Animal rescue charity actively encourages people to have their pets micro chipped and tagged. It is illegal not to have an Identity tag for your dog, even if it is micro chipped. Every animal entering a sanctuary or council pound is scanned for a microchip. Don’t let your beloved pet become another statistic. For information on micro chipping contact your local vet or animal warden.
None of this would be possible without the kind and generous donations received from our supporters.
